Welcome! Introduction to this Course

Correction in the video: Our Live Sessions are now from 7:30pm to 9:00pm Pacific Time. We moved them back by one hour.

Hello and welcome to Interview Camp. We are excited to have you here!

Why the need for Interview Camp?

We have helped 3000+ engineers with interview prep. 4 out of 5 are not ready for the interview, even though they think they are.

Recruiters give a very vague description of the process.

Books and websites are good, but not good enough - We love books and sites, but they lack a systematic approach. They have a ton of questions but lack structure. Most people end up skimming over questions.

On top of that, this stuff is not taught anywhere! - For example, the concept of a Line Sweep is seldom covered in college courses, yet very commonly used in algorithm questions. System Design concepts are rarely taught in detail on the internet.

Course Structure

Self Paced

All the core course material is available on-demand. In addition, we do weekly live sessions for discussion and Q&A. Most people take at least 2-3 months to finish the course.

Homework Problems

Homework problems are at the bottom of each section. Keep in mind that some initial sections may not have them.

Live Sessions

We have live sessions on Tuesdays at 7:30pm Pacific Time. They last for two hours.

We typically spend the first hour discussing a specific technical topic. Examples are here: https://blog.interviewcamp.io

In the second hour, we answer questions. Questions can be anything ranging from algorithm and system design to discussions about job offers or interview skills.

On Monday night, we send out an email about how to access the next day's session. Recordings for older sessions are available at the bottom of the course material (under the "Course Extras" section).

We do record these sessions though, so you can view the recordings for the full year. All recordings are at the bottom of the course content (under the "Course Extras" section).

Slack Group

The Slack group is an excellent resource of like minded individuals. You should post any discussion there. The instructor will be there to answer questions as well. You will get an invite when you register. If you don't receive your invite for any reason, please email us at [email protected]

Go over Every Technique

We expect you to go over every technique and question in this course. It has been designed for 4 weeks of work, so all of them are critical.

Languages

The course has solutions in Java. However, we also provide pseudocode, so you can use any language you are comfortable with. Please note that the pseudocode is only for illustration. Never write pseudocode in an actual interview (unless it's a few lines for planning your solution)!

Grading

There is no grading in this course! It is purely up to you to utilize it.

Anonymity

Some of our members like to stay anonymous. If that is you, set a Slack Display name that does not display your full name/photo.
